Travel & Accommodation
The University of Turin main campus is located in the heart of the northern Italian city of Turin, the capital of Piedmont. Turin features a small international airport but is connected by short train and bus shuttles to the 3 large airports at Milan. Turin itself is well-connected to the rest of Italy, and to neighbouring France and Switzerland and beyond by an intense network of high-speed and local trains, as well as numerous bus networks.
Attendees of the conference will be able to take advantage of the low-cost university residences in the city, made available to visiting scholars. The main website is EDISU website (EDISO is the agency that manages university residences in the Piemont region). The site is available in Italian and English. The page of interest for HNR attendees is Book Your Stay which indicates the locations in best proximity to the main campus and contains instructions for reserving your room. Important: the room booking system requires non-Italians to create an account with password – the instructions are at the bottom of the login page.
Online participation
The conference is in person papers only, however we are investigating whether virtual attendance can be enabled.
